Sculpture Northwest is our bi-monthly newsletter and journal for sculptors. It contains articles on technical data, tools and stone, book reviews and perspectives on significant sculptors of the past. Each issue contains an interview with a featured member, special events and opportunities. The distribution includes approximately 250 artists, both regional and national, plus many art schools, art commissions and galleries in the Northwest and beyond.

Ron Geitgey has written an excellent concise glossary that describes stone from a sculptors perspective. He is an accompished sculptor himself and serves as an Industrial Minerals Geologist for the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. The glossary explains terms used for minerals, rocks and stones.
