For two weeks in February, we in the Seattle area had the unique opportunity to host the sculptor Humaira Abid. Through her slide shows and presentations we had a chance to enjoy photos of her work and to hear stories of what it is like being the only full time practicing female sculptor in Pakistan.

 

A hearty NWSSA thank you to all of you who lent a hand to make this opportunity possible with special thanks to Brian Berman, Al Sieradski, Sue Taves and Steve

Erickson, all of whom volunteered their time and energy to supply food, lodging and transportation for our guest.

 

We are happy to say that NWSSA now has a good friend in Lahore, Pakistan.
