Email List Server and Discussion groups

The Northwest Stone Sculptors Association maintains an email list sever that sends mail to others in the association. This email list is our main way to send and receive email throughout the association.

Anyone on the list can send a message to the whole group. Replies just go to the originator, unless you tell your mail program to reply-all. Then the whole group will receive the message. Once a member of the list (groups.nwssa.org) you can view all previous postings and post your announcement, ask a question, or just make a comment.

NWSSA discussion group mail list

The NWSSA sponsored discussion email group has subscribers mostly in western US and Canada. There are usually over 250 members, mostly stone carvers and sculptors you may have met at one of our symposiums, or maybe one day will meet. You can send out an announcement, ask a question, or just make a comment. We are a friendly crowd, even if there isn't much traffic on the list, though sometimes there is a flurry of messages. You don't have to be a member of the association to join. Anyone involved in stone sculpting is welcome (excepting spammers of course).

Subscribing to the NWSSA mail list:

Send an email directly to the group list administrator by clicking This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request that your name be added to the NWSSA group mailing list.  Remember if you want to join with a different email address than your default email on your current device, please include that in your email.

What happens then:

  1. The list administrator will put you on the list.
  2. You will receive an email message welcoming you to the list.
  3. You will get notices of postings, and you can then checkout what has been posted before at: groups.nwssa.org

Unsubscribing and other options

Maybe you would like the activity from this group to be batched up, instead of receiving each as they arrive, or you might want to unsubscribe from the NWSSA group list?  Go to groups.nwssa.org membership management page and change your options.

Welcome to the Montana Special Issue of Sculpture NorthWest!
To honor their many contributions to the art of stone carving, we are taking the opportunity to present three NWSSA members in a single issue: Adrian Hoye, Renda Greene, and the ringleader of the gang, John Thompson.  We are grateful to them for representing the stone carving community in Missoula, MT, and for sharing their work with us here.
